Finally it happened!

Prom night is soon and I promised scarlet I would go with her. It has been our dream since we were 14. I was forced to go with Noah, my mom’s best friend’s son. You see we were going out for about a year but then we broke up, I really don’t remember why, so now my parents and Noah’s parents come over every weekend to watch a movie or play a game.  I always leave and go over to scarlet’s but tonight was different I had to eat dinner with them and my mom mentioned how I didn’t have a date for prom and how I should go and have fun. But then Noah’s mom said Noah doesn’t have a date either and I looked at my mom and luckily she got the picture. Just as Noah’s mom was about to say Noah and I should go to prom together my mom said that I was busy that weekend, but it was too late.  I was officially going to prom with Noah.

On the night of prom I got dressed and scarlet came over and got ready too. I got done before her so then my mom had to take a million pictures of me. Then when scarlet came downstairs we had to get pictures of both of us and of just her. When Noah showed up I could tell he was drunk! Apparently his mom hasn’t been around him lately. I had to also get pictures with him.  We all went out to the limo and right away Noah wanted to know where the bar was. It made me really mad that he couldn’t even pretend that he was sober.  Anyway we got to the school and I got out then Noah came out after me and he grabbed onto the back of my dress and it ripped so then I bundled it up and went into the bathroom. There was a girl in there that fixed it temporarily.

The next thing I know someone came into the bathroom and told me that scarlet needed me. So I went out to her and he was in labor. Somebody said something about an ambulance and she didn’t want to go in an ambulance she wanted to get to the hospital in a car. So Macon pulled up and asked if we wanted a ride, we broke up a while ago and he is asking me if we wanted a ride. We got to the hospital and I filled out the papers and called my mom because Marion, scarlet’s mom, wasn’t home. I told her to wait for Marion to get there and to tell her. But the next thing I know she was there and my dad was left at home to wait for Marion. When scarlet had the baby, which was a girl that she named grace scarlet Thomas, I went out into the waiting room and saw Marion her boyfriend half of prom and some other people that all happened to hear the news. I told them all the news and then Marion went to see grace.

christmas traditions

                My mom goes crazy around Christmas time. So one night at supper my mom came up with the plan to go out and get a Christmas supper. This was ever before thanksgiving.  Anyway I said I had plans and my dad kicked me under the table, which meant if he had to go so did I. so afer supper we all went in the car and got the “perfect tree.” My mom takes what seems like two hours picking out the “perfect tree” or the tree that she thinks is perfect. She found the “perfect tree” and then my dad was happy and we stuffed in the car and went home. I was thinking this Christmas would be one that we didn’t do everything normal because grandma sick, but no this Christmas is even more packed with traditions than ever before.     

                Grandma is not really sick she is just getting to that age. I remember when we would sit on the porch looking at the stars it was cold and she would hold me tight. Now I was sitting next to her in the nursing home and holding her hand tight. It was hard to see her not even remember my name anymore. Even though we still have many traditions this year to do going to grandmas for thanksgiving dinner was not one of them!  

Busted

     The other day i went out with macon and we got back really late, it was like 12:00 at night. thats when my parents desided to give me a curfew. at least i can stay out until 12:00 and no later! So then this one day i went out to marcon's house. we went into his room and i saw this picture taped to his tv, and i took it off and looked at it, it was me in the grand canyon. i felt so lucky to have someone that has a picture of me taped to their tv. anyway we were sitting talking about school and our parents and then i looked at the clock. it said 12:04.  I jumped up grabbed  my jacket and said i have to go. Marcon took me home when i got to my street it was 12:21 exactly!     
     I knew as soon as i walked in the door my mother would be waiting for me. And i was right! She asked where i had been  I said i was over at scarlets and we lost track of time. Well that didnt exactly work because then she gave me that look. She said no i wasnt i was with that macon kid. Then she asked what we did and i told her. i dont know why she is always wondering what im doing. I could hear my dad coming down the stairs and he told me to go to bed. So i did and then the next day at work my mom came to my line and asked what i was doing tonight? I said nothing so she said she wouild come after work and pick me up!
     She took me to the italian resturant near our house. i was thinking to myself why is she taking me here i have to be careful wwith what i say becase this is probably a trick! All she did was talk to me about macon and why i was grounded! Then guess what.....she told me i couldnt see macon anymore!!! I  was so mad i got up and she told me to sit down, then she got the check and we went home. it was really ackward because the car was quit and nobody said anything!

All i can say is wow!

Well a few says ago after i got home from camp, it was time to get ready for school. But before that went over to scarlets like always and and we went up to her room. I sat on her bed as she was picking out her cloths for the day. I looked over on the other side o the bed and there were these hiking boots on here bed. I asked myself “I wonder when scarlet got hiking boots?” then I went to pick them up and examine them and then this random guy just popped up in the bed. Then scarlet looked over and said hi to him. She called him “marcon”. Then he said tha he appreaciated her letting him sleep over. Then he  went downstaires and out to his car where he dissapeared going around the corner.
            The next day we saw him at school. I had to go to the guidence office because my scheudle said I had band and I have never played and instument in my entire life. I saw macon in there he came and sat by me. Apperantly he had already gotton in trouble. And then he thought I got in trouble. He was telling me all these tips about getting out of trouble without looking like a liar. I never did get to tell him that I wasn’t in trouble and I had to get a scheudle change.

            Anyway I got the whole band thing figured out! Then I went to third period which is gym and marcon was in there to. We have talked every day since the guidence office. Now we mostly only talk during gym. Also guess what… macon finally asked me out on october 18^th at 11:27am.
            Then a few days ago at work scarlet came over to my check out counter and asked me to go to the bathroom with her. What a weird question is that. I went to the bathroom after my line settled down and she showed me this white stick thing with a plus sign on it. I didn’t know what it was at first. She told me that she is pregnant. I was in shock. It was so weird. Then we went to her house after work and told her mom. Her mom, marion, said that she should get an abortion.
            The next Monday she wasn’t going to be going  to school. At school I got a call from my mom and it was really scarlet calling and asking if I could come get her. I sais I would and the office gave me a pass. Then the bell rang for next period. I found marcon who had a car. And I asked him to take me to the doctors where scarlet was. He agreed he would do anything to get out of school. We picked her up and she told me that she didn’t have and abortion. Ahe said she didn’t think it was the right thing to do.

Sister hood camp

    Hi my name is Halley Cooke.I am a very quiet but my best friends name is scarlet. We have been friends for years. We share secrets, cloths, and crushes with each other. I am at sisterhood camp it is way up in the mountains of  The Grand Canynon. You know what that means, no cellphones or computers. But there is one phone hidden in ints own little cabin by itself. The only problem is that yhou have to have a counslor with you if you want to use it.
    Today i went too go calll scarlet. Its really late at night. I just called her and she was crying!She said that her first boyfriend Mitchel was in a motorcycle accident and died. Scarlet want me to come home so that i can support her.
    I will call my mom. "Mom can i come home mitchell died in a motercycle accident:"  "Well Halley you should tryu to stay there its only for one more week!" "But mom i really need to be there for scarlet" "fine is there a counslor with you" "yes!" Then i gave the phone to the counslor to the counslor. She told me that my mom said i have to pack my stuff and that she was sppry for my loss. So then the next morning i packed up my stuff and drove home with my mom!
